Introduction. As there is a relative paucity of previous research addressing creativity in specific art fields, it is especially rare to find research on the relationship between critical thinking, artistic creativity, and creative self-efficacy among art students. In addition, Liaoning Province in China has a long history of art education and a large number of art colleges and universities. The art universities in the region have a high quality of education and have produced a large number of excellent artistic talents. Therefore, the focus of this study will be on the group of art major college students in Liaoning Province, and is dedicated to exploring in depth the issues related to the artistic creativity of this group of college students.
Study participants and methods. This study selected students from two fine arts universities in Liaoning Province (China) as the research objects. A total of 800 questionnaires were recovered in this study. After deleting invalid questionnaires with too short response time or too high repeatability of answers, 755 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 94.38%. This study adopts the research method of questionnaire survey.
